I am concerned that if the proposed raise in university tuition fees is carried out that Humanities and Social Sciences will be one of the areas that will be most adversely affected. As these studies are an important part of learning about our heritage, about the development of life and human habits and also are an exploration of how societies work, progress and decline the removal of funding from an already lowly funded (comparatively) area would not be acceptable nor sensible.
